THERMOCHIP was the material chosen for the roof of the maritime station at the port of La Savina, in Formentera (Balearic Islands). For this project, executed in 2005, 540 square metres of sandwich panels THERMOCHIP TAH with a lasered fir frieze finish were installed. The sandwich panels used are made up of the aforementioned frieze, with a thickness of 13 mm, a 50 mm extruded polystyrene core, and a 15 mm OSB board (wood particles). The natural varnishing highlights the finish of the station, which houses a cafeteria and other leisure services, annexed to those of the boats, within facilities through which around one million passengers pass each year.
