THERMOCHIP®: four-step installation of the market-leading sandwich panel

UNPACKING AND TINTING

The panels THERMOCHIP® They are supplied palletized and protected with a plastic cover. It is recommended not to remove the protective cover until it is put into work.

PLACEMENT OF THE PANELS

ThepanelsTHERMOCHIP® They are usually placed onmetal or wooden structures. For correct installation, they will be placed staggered, that is, altering the transverse joints between panels, so that the longest sides are perpendicular to the supports, and they mustrest on three supportsat least.

The panels are joined together through areed systemhoused in therigid extruded polystyrene corewhich serves as insulation for the panel.

FIXING TO THE COVER

The anchoring of thepanelsTHERMOCHIP® is done throughscrewsstainless self-drilling self-tapping screws. They must be distributed3 fixing points per support, distant at least 2 cm from the edge of the panel. The length of the screws will vary not only depending on the thickness of the panel to be fixed, but also according to the type of supporting structure.

Thus, when the fixation is carried out onmetal structure, the length of the screw will be20mmgreater than the thickness of the panel. Aboutwood, the length of the screw will exceed by50mm.

SEALING BETWEEN PANELS

Once thepanels THERMOCHIP® to the supporting structure, it is advisable to proceedsealedof the joints and thus ensure the tightness of the cover. This sealing can be done withliquid rubber, self-adhesive waterproofing strips, silicone, polyurethane mastic, bitumen sheets, etc.

Thewaterproofingof the joints is especially advisable in theunionsproduced by the meeting of differentdeck skirts(ridge, valley, hip, break, etc.)
