Wooden roofs, safer and more fire resistant

With concrete, when the temperature increases in the interior metal structure, it expands quickly, causing very high risks of collapse. Furthermore, fire causes a decrease in resistance and thickness, with the consequent danger of detachment.

On the contrary, with a wooden structure andsandwich panelsTHERMOCHIP®, the cover maintains its bearing capacity stable for longer. This is because thewoodIt produces slow combustion and slows down as the fire progresses because the charred layer insulates the interior of the structure from heat.

Steel, despite being non-combustible, loses its load-bearing capacity at 450ºC and can deform. ThewoodIt remains intact one centimeter below its surface, even if temperatures of 500ºC or 1300ºC are reached.
