The rehabilitation of the deckof this facility, the last one that hosted greyhound races in Spain until its closure in 2006, took over more than2,500 m2of oursandwich panels THERMOCHIP® ALPHA, custom madefor the project.Furthermore, adecorative finishinwood chips and magnesite, a materialsound absorbingand of greatfire resistance, that highlights the original metal structure of the roof.

GREATER INSULATION AND RESISTANCE

THERMOCHIP® ALPHAis made up of aperimeter boxcomposed ofwooden raftersthat provide greaterendurance to the cover thanks to this type of reinforcement.

Oursandwich panel isolatebetter thanks to therock woolreinforced by a vapor barrier placed in the perimeter box.

In addition to the finish decorative in wood chips and magnesite, THERMOCHIP® ALPHA is also available infir, water-repellent and plaster and cement.

FAD PRIZE FOR ARCHITECTURE IN 1963

HeMeridiana Dog Track, work of the architectsAntoni Bonet Castellana and Josep Puig Tornéreceived the FAD Architecture Awardin1963.

In 2006, it closed and was acquired by the Barcelona City Council, which definitively rehabilitated it in 2009.

In recent years, this two-story building topped by a largedeck, was proposed to become the maincontemporary art centrefrom the city, but still remains closedwaiting for a definitive project.
