THERMOCHIP® on the roof of the Can Julià farmhouse

THERMOCHIP® TIrH, hesandwich panelformed by a table of iroko wood,It already covers the roof of the Can Julià farmhouse, currently the offices of AEMAS (Agrupació d’Empreses Municipals Ambientals i Sostenibles de Sant Boi: Coressa, Claus i Igualssom)

The work, carried out by Reser Covers, specialists in designs and rehabilitation of wooden roofs, has involved the installation of 52 panels THERMOCHIP® TIrH for an area of ​​68.64 m2 on the roof of Can Julií, an 18th century farmhouse that is part of the network of facilities with which the Llobregat city council wants to promote sustainability and the environment.

In the rehabilitation of the roof of Can Julià,Reser Covers has applied a varnish treatment to the fir beams to achieve the same tone as the panels THERMOCHIP® TIrH. 

RIVER ECOSYSTEM AND SUSTAINABILITY

The work was carried out when the Sant Boi de Llobregat town council was planning the creation of a network of facilities to promote education in sustainability and the environment with interpretation centers for river, forest, agricultural and urban ecosystems.

The Can Julià farmhouse was one of the buildings that was part of this network and that became the Interpretation centre of the Llobregat River. This farmhouse 18th century, located in the Castell hill, brought its visitors closer the history and secrets of the Llobregat river. Since 2020 and currently, this facility houses the AEMAS offices.
