HeTechnical Building Code (CTE), approved in 2006, marked a before and after in the construction sector in Spain. Since then it has undergone several updates, always with a clear objective: to ensure that the buildings meet the highest standards of safety, energy efficiency, comfort and sustainability.
Today we find ourselves facing a new milestone with the arrival ofBasic Sustainability Document (DB-SA). This update not only reinforces existing regulations, but also raises the bar, requiring construction systems not to simply comply, but toprovide measurable and verifiable solutions from sustainability aspects.
industrialisation as a response
The evolution of CTE with this new DB-SA will promote construction with a high degree of industrialisation, since these new methodologies guarantee higher levels of sustainability. In this scenario, themultilayer panels THERMOCHIPof high performance are consolidated as a proposal suitable for all industrial proposals.
Its main advantages are clear:
Water and energy: urgent priorities
Saving water is especially critical in the Iberian Peninsula, where much of the territory is at risk of desertification. In parallel, the reduction of energy consumption and CO₂ emissions is aligned with the European decarbonization objectives.
Real applications
Multilayer systems are already being used in multiple types of projects:
In all cases, they offer the same advantage:certified, fast and sustainable solutions, adapted to different execution methods.
Conclusion:
The evolution of CTE not only establishes a legal framework, but alsoopens the door to a new way of building. industrialisation, with products such as THERMOCHIP multilayer panels, allows us to respond with guarantees, sustainability and efficiency to the current challenges of building in Spain.
