THERMOCHIP® TKH, a reform in the Sant Pere de Ribes town hall

Within a comprehensive project,the town hall of Sant Pere de Ribesopts for the installation ofTHERMOCHIP®, as confidence to carry out a renovation of its facilities, which had been closed for the last 3 years due to a termite infestation.For this project our model was selectedTHERMOCHIP® TKHwhich is made up of a board with a conglomerate finish anda sound-absorbing materialwhich provides excellent resistance to class B fire. Something highly appreciated for the structural support of the building, it already maximizes its energy efficiency and protects it from possible incidents by offering a much longer response time.Thanks to the current renovation and among the materials, the 322 m2 installed of THERMOCHIP®, the mayor intends thatthe Villa house will once again be the headquarters of the councilors’ officess and opposition groups, as well as the plenary hall and the citizen service office.

Finishing ThERMOCHIP® TKH

As we can see in the imageour model TKHhasa chipboard finishwhich was an excellent choice for the roof of the town hall, since it provides uniformity to the roof. The inner panel is made of 15mm wood chips withmagnesiteto keep the panel compact and resistant.One of the basic conditions imposed on the project wasthe conservation of spaces with heritage interest, from the plenary hall on the stairs to the bells and the clock, that is why it was essential to use non-invasive techniques that could preserve these details, offering at the same time a new aspect and qualities of our time such as thewater-repellent insulator, and acoustic, something really striking inour panel TKH

Acoustic Insulation of the TKH

Thanks to the wood chips with magnesite from thepanel THERMOCHIP® TKH, a value ofacoustic absorption up to 0.90α, in addition to the insulation provided by the extruded polystyrene that all our panels have. After the magnificent work done by the installers and our panel, we can seethe end result. Now all that remains is to continue with the renovations and apply the decoration techniques planned in the project for the renovation and historical conservation of the Sant Pere de Ribes town hall.
