THERMOCHIP® achieves savings of 25% in façade and roof rehabilitation

THERMOCHIP

A rehabilitation with THERMOCHIP®and THERMOCHIP® DECOgets asavings of about 25%in heating demand. Thanks to the insulation provided by our wooden sandwich panels on the façade and roof, the energy rating of the home improves by one letter, going from F -less efficient- to E -more efficient- and, at the same time, reducing emissions of COâ‚‚ into the atmosphere by 14.9% (from 103.9 kgCOâ‚‚/m² to 88.5 kgCOâ‚‚/m²).

THERMOCHIP® has carried out a study to determine the thermal insulation necessary for a two-story house, measuring 110 square metres, built in 1975 in theClimatic Zone D(which includes areas such as Salamanca, Madrid or Vitoria). This building uses diesel heating and electric DHW (Domestic Hot Water), obtaining an F energy classification – among the least efficient -. This is because the house has 4 centimeters of polystyrene insulation on the façade and roof.

THERMOCHIP® IMPROVE ENERGY RATING

THERMOCHIP BLANCO DECAPÉ

To achieve effective improvements in its levels of insulation, energy efficiency and savings, it has been decided to install a panel on the roof. THERMOCHIP®with an insulating core 6 centimeters thick, with which we save 9.9% on heating, reducing CO2 emissions by 7.5%. Installing ourwood sandwich panelsOnly in the roof is it possible to raise one letter in the building’s energy rating, going from 103.9 kgCOâ‚‚/m² to 96.2 kgCOâ‚‚/m².

Placed only on deck, THERMOCHIP® DECO achieves savings of 8.4% in heating demand, reducing COâ‚‚ emissions by a percentage close to 6.3%. Likewise, only with the installation ofwood sandwich panelsOn the façade, the building’s energy rating is also improved by one letter, going from 103.9 kgCOâ‚‚/m² to 97.4 kgCOâ‚‚/m².
