HeITeC(Institute of Construction Technology), carries out the certification of innovative construction products or systems that do not have reference regulations because they are new products. Innovative systems such asThermochip Housing, which represent an advance in new construction, design and assembly methodologies, must be certified through these procedures. Through demanding tests that can ensure adequate behavior against use, aging and optimal level of performance.

The DAU (Document of Suitability for Use) ensures the quality of the products, and is the favorable opinion issued by the ITeC of the benefits of a novel construction system. Taking into account the project and execution criteria and the proposed construction solutions. It serves to demonstrate and ensure compliance with current regulations.

Termochip Housing contemplates different construction subsystems for the closure and panelized insulation of buildings. Recently this range of solutions has obtained the following two DAUs,THERMOCHIP SATE- WALLandTHERMOCHIP FLAT ROOF, FLOOR AND FLOOR-S, for its closure systems, based on multi-layer panels composed of fiber cement boards, XPS sheets and fibrogypsum boards. Through this document, ITec as an independent body provides one more guarantee of the benefits offered by an industrialized system such as Thermochip Housing for the enclosure of roofs, facades and slabs. Its use grants certainty and facilitates the work of professionals involved in the design and execution of projects, contributing significantly to ensuring the excellent performance of the resulting building.

Why is a suitability for use document important?

To grant a document of suitability for use, a detailed study is carried out of the benefits provided by the construction system in question. This rigorous evaluation provides certainty to the project execution process.

Among the aspects to be evaluated taken into account for the preparation of a document of suitability for use, we find:

In this way, the ITeC updates the DAU periodically, incorporating new product ranges, solutions or materials into the document with which we continue working from our R&D&I department.
