Who can benefit from Aid for Energy Rehabilitation?

Development aid for energy rehabilitation and thermal insulation

Theenergy rehabilitationof buildings is emerging as the most sustainable and efficient option for the public Administration. In addition to the Aid Program for Energy Rehabilitationsummoned by the IDAEThe Ministry of Public Works makes Housing Rehabilitation Aid available to homeowners and communities of owners.aimed at improving the isolationthermal and acoustic as well as saving onenergy consumption, among other things.

The conditions to access this type of aid depend on the level of income: inbuilding rehabilitation, more than 60% of the housing users must have incomes less than 5.5 times the Minimum Interprofessional Wage (SMI) and inhousing rehabilitation, family income must be below 3.5 times the SMI.

Collective residential buildings or individual homes must be equal to or greater than 15 years old. In addition, they must assume the commitment to achieve the structural and functional adequacy of the buildings.

TYPES AND AMOUNTS OF AID

The Ministry of Housing of the Government of Spain offers qualified loans, that is, loans that offer advantageous conditions for the beneficiary.

In this case, the aid may reach the entire protected budget.

The aid amounts are as follows:

Building rehabilitation: Amortization is set at a maximum of 20 years:

1,240 €: General

3,100 €: Income less than 3.5 Minimum Interprofessional Wage.

3,410 €: If they are also over 65 years old.

3.70 €: for lessors subject to forced extension.

Housing rehabilitation:The maximum amortization period is marked at 10 years.

Subsidy of 25% of the protected budget, with a maximum of €2,480

If you are over 65 years old, the subsidy will be 35%, with a maximum of €3,100

For landlords subject to forced extension: 35% subsidy, with a maximum of €3,410

3,720 €: For lessors subject to forced extension.

Applications for this aid will be processed in the Autonomous Community where the building or home to be rehabilitated is located.

Therefore, applications will be directed to the body responsible for housing in each Autonomous Community.
