The Maritime Station in the seaport of La Savina, Formentera (Balearic Islands). THERMOCHIP was chosen for this roof. It was first opened in 2005. 540 square metres of THERMOCHIP TAH sandwich panels coated with fir finish frieze was selected for this project. The sandwich panels used are made up of a 15 mm frieze, a 50mm core of extruded polystyrene and a 15mm OSB board (wood particles). The station has a café and other leisure services on the port where around 1 million passengers go through every year. Here you can be mesmerised by the natural polish of the wood.
